I trust that Thanksgiving was a blessed time for you and yours, as it certainly was for me. I’m grateful for all of your posted insights about kinship with creation—a theme that seems most poignant at the height of our liturgical Season of Creation.

I see a new heaven and a new earth being born every time we take a chance on something different within our church, every time we're brave enough to move forward in the midst of struggle, every time we welcome a new face at our door.
I am so proud to be part of the faith community I serve and that serves our wider community.
Peace and blessings to you, Mardi, as you embark on the church's new travels with Jesus.

Mardi,
Congratulations on your recent appointment as Moderator.
I was interested to read that you met Kathy Galloway from the Iona community. Did she sing?
She has preached at my local congregation, Pitt St Uniting Church, here in Sydney, Australia. If you're ever out this way, please join us in worship.
To answer your question, I'd like to be Mary. I'm much more content with "being" than doing!
The biblical figure I admire the most is Job. Despite immense suffering, he never stopped believing. He symbolises for me that suffering is a part of life, but that shouldn't stand in the way of gratitude for life itself.

Mardi, What a great idea to blog along the modjourney with us, and we with you.
Nora's weekly letter reminded me you had a blog. Glad to be able to come and visit. Will come again, but trying to limit time on this sit-too-much machine.
The North country at Thanksgving time was colour-coded with God's love. A myriad of fiery colours...reds, oranges, browns, yellows, inter-spaced with tall and short, deep green evergreens. Breath taking as only the Master Painter paints that kind of picture.
