I give to you
my hopes
my dreams
And then
maybe
one day
you'll see
The love
I hold
for all
of thee
Your vessels
of such purity
So why don't you set that free
I have such love to give
If only you would let me in
I open up my heart to you
I bare my soul for all to view
Come follow me
the light it shines
for all of us
it's so divine
Just take that step
and don't look back
The walls you've built
to keep you save
Can't you see, they've held you back
So don't be scared
and just reach out
My open hands
they won't fight back
Peace on earth
is what we need
And it can start with you and me
_____
So many are afraid of getting close
Then connection is lost
and that hurts the most
Strangers become your family
What ever happened to community
Relatives and nieghbours used to know each other entirely....
~~~~~~~~
Time; It goes so fast now
Society is breed to redirect us from whats important some how...
~~~~~~~
Love
It's the food we all need
And for so very long
I have been trying to think of a way for you to recive.

Wonder-full. It speaks to me powerfully of God's desire to be in relationship with us. How God knows us so intimately and waits and calls us continuously to respond and go deeper.
How does God deal with all the rejection?
Isn't the cross all about rejection?
Rejection creates such fear in me that it freezes me up. Only God's unconditional grace warms me up and gives me a hot fire inside to risk the freeze again.

It is easier to say then to do. I struggle with this every single day.

It is true that people put up such barriers. It usually relates to fear. Your thoughts connect back, I think, to the Moderator's comments on his Blog, Axioms of Fear.
If we could let the boarders down and not be afraid; if we could love without fear or insecurity it would be amazing. If we could let the wheel of progress turn and move us to a place which is more altrustic, having faith in the future and our children and each other, it would be super.
Our instinct is to protect ourselves and put up defences, so it requires a huge leap of faith in each other and in the reality of a Great Universal Soul which is beyond/beneath the surface of our egos - and which connects us all.
There would be a lot more love if some more of us could lose the barriers and bring down the boarders. It would be AMAZING if everyone could. We should all aim for that in our families, friendships, organizations and communities, I think. Let the Love and Joy and Trust ... flow.

I am glad that you got that message alley; Although the song is actually about my own desire to be connected with the world and my own desire that the world be connected within of it's self.

I'm going to have to read this one over a number of times, but I agree with you. Relationships are what give life zest, flavour and verve, yet relationships are most terrifying because they require us to allow ourselves to be so vulnerable to another. You're right in that walls protect but they also diminish. After all, didn't Jesus open himself to the ultimate vulnerability? There is no new life without risk.

Sometimes I think that I risk too much cause in my younger days I never risked anything. I feel worse now but at the same time I never want to go back to being an unfeeling robot.

I wish that God could teach me to say what I can sing.
