"The Awakening"
Some say....
While others look away
Some hear....
While others fear
Some see....
What may or may not be
If you look between, that's where I'll be
It's said, that the truth shall set you free
Yet you still lie to me
If you just open up yourself
You'll see what I give to thee
You all fight to be seen
Yet there's no clarity
I have called
Yet you do not gather
Understandings
You've made hard to fathom
Seperation
Why do you let my sheep, wander aimlessly
Lifes not easier and the truth does hurt
But why do you make it worse
Pride and ego will be your drowning
I've offered life boats
Why don't you heed my warning
You keep on reaching for what's not there
Turn around and you'll see it's here
I've been waiting oh so long
for you to feel that you all belong
I'm beginning to wonder if you want to hear me
Perhaps it's time for you to actually see me
I wonder if you'll be glad to witness
Or if your fears will turn my hand to your weakness
(We shall see what we see and what will be)

*raises a candle*
*thinks of the possible voices for the song, mayhap Macy Gray, or Holly Cole, or the 40 year old scotch voice of Leonard Cohen*

I LOVE this:
"'I've been waiting oh so long
for you to feel that you all belong"
That sent chills down my spine.
Jeez I wish I could actually hear you sing.
Maybe I'd chime in too.

That's beautiful. Wish I could hear the music though.

I agree! It's like reading all of the songs in the Hobbit, having to make the tune up in your heard.
But I just picture Sara McLaughlin singing, and it's beautiful.

Sara singing this eh? I haven't thought of whom might fit my songs, seeing as I don't think that I am as great as I sound to myself.
I am glad that you guys liked it but I am not sure if I will ever have the guts to see it in public "sigh". One day hopefully I will get up the courage, maybe if I get some good feed back whenever I take my cd to a recording studio. I have to feel that it is complete before I will do that, the time will come to me.
I don't have any music for any of my songs though as I cannot actually play an instrument.

realmseer: I knew you'd finish it! Put your soul into it, eh?
Did you actually set it to music? Too bad we can't hear it. If you ever put it on CD, let us know!

Alice Monroe toiled in obscurity, writing away despite the fact that science fiction writers weren't really sought after, and she took care of family and home. But she always wrote, and one day she sent in her stories to CBC, the rest is history.
So who knows, Realm? There may be a way for you to do something with your songs if you felt motivated to do so, but if not, treasure and share them just the same.

Hello realmseer, God bless you....
Very nice, I love it when others write songs and poems..
In God all things are possible, we just have to believe we can do anything...
Praise Jesus, He the Light, the Truth, the Way

Thanks but I was thinking about those three monkeys, See no evil, speak no evil, hear no evil. What would you call someone that chooses to remain deaf, dumb and blind becasue they don't want to see bad and as a result, they don't see good either.
