Yesterday NASA launched a rocket powered probe to search for Earth like planets.

How can religion hope to keep up with the endless curiosity of the human race?

Well, I don't have the answers, just my own opinions, and beliefs.

Here are some questions and answers regarding my view.

Who created the universe, and how long did it take?

a) God six days

b) God, we don't know

c) The Big Bang, it still isn't done

I choose to ignore those options and create one of my own.

The straight question: was Jesus the son of God in terms of Science? Straight answer: No, in my opinion.

In Biblical times the word virgin had nothing to do with sex. At that time virgin meant not married.

Jesus was not the genetic son of God. However Jesus was right to say that he was the son of God. We are all the children of God, just as any adopted child is the son or daughter of their adopted parents.

Ok, this is short. If God matters, then there is meaning to our existence, and we have an outside opinion on the morality of what we do, and will be rewarded if we follow our morality. The point of our existance is to live in peace with each other, and to make the world a better place.

I don't have many words, but the words I do have are important. Youth, now what do we mean by youth in the United Church? For some churches having youth means, oh we have a sunday school, some others oh well Mabel still has a few hairs with colour, then there is, the Youth Group who are just teens who hang out because they have nothing better to do.
