Beginning Wednesday, June 22, 2011 Christa, will start each discussion off with some responses to a chapter in the book and may even ask some questions for you to respond to. There are 7 chapters in Velvet Elvis - so if we start with Chapter 1 on June 22 we should finish with Chapter 7 the week of August 3.

Lenten book discussion coming soon

Hi Folks,

You may have noticed the banner at the top of the site about the upcoming Lenten book discussion. We're now one week from Ash Wednesday, so I wanted to invite you to participate in the discussion and ask you to invite others as well.

The book being discussed is Rising with the Morning Star, which is edited by Betty Lynn Schwab and focused around the Moderator's theme of God's healing for soul, community, and creation. It offers daily reflections for each day of Lent.
