Gee! Sometimes you just don't know what to think. I mean, this Iran thing is so terrible that even Harper admits that Iran being so close to a nuclear bomb is the scariest thing in the world. And all the GOT candidates (except one) in the US want to attack Iran right now.
The Jan. 19 Christian Science Monitor ran a story quoting the Israeli paper Haaretz and the Israeli minister of defence and an Israeli intelligence report to the American general staff that Iran is NOT developing a nuclear bomb.
The Iranian plot to kill the Saudi ambassador to the US is almost certainly an American plot intended to isolate iran - or as an excuse for invading it. that is the opinion of many newspapers all over the world, including papers far superior to any in North America. Indeed, one of the papers to adopt this view is The Guardian, arguably the best newspaper in the English speaking world. Just google The Guardian Iran plot Saudi.
In a speech today, Mr. Romney, leading candidate for the Republican leadership announced that God wants the US to rule the world. He proposes to dramatically increase the "defence" budget, and cut social assistance.
Canada, as titular leader of the NATO bombing, has almost finished its work in Libya, almost certainly having killed tens of thousands of civilians. (You can't bomb cities without doing that.)
My sons (14 years old) are big on computer games. There are so many of theose games out there. And you know what? Almost all of them are about war and killing.
Then I check out the surviving comic books, often now coming out in book format. Just finished one called Commandos. It's second world war. the Japanese are yellow-bellies, little brown men, cowards, racially inferior.
Let's see, now. This week, the US, Briitain, France, Canada, and a few other allies are figthing at least six illegal wars. thousands of civilians have been killed. The majority of refugees in the world today were created by our side. Christian countries openly use torture and/or cooperate with those who do. Iraqis have been impoverished, plundered, and murdered even beyond, far beyond, the behaviour of the Christian knights at Constantinople. And that's not counting the special ops and assassination squads.
How have we gone from protecting civilians to bombing raids on Gadaffi? How do we know who the "rebels" really are? It seems like this is headed into another instance of the West intervening in a country where we don't belong! Here we go again. Is dropping bombs on people ever the solution?
we have now passed the point of no return. And the parliamentary support for it came from all parties. We are now committed to a war which has no relation whatever to any Canadian need. We are in a war that nobody has a reason for. There has been no serious discussion of it - and very little public information. We are committed to a war in Libya which will serve as the precedent for many more such wars to come.
What's the church about? Is it about community socializing? Is it about small groups sending aid to the poor? Is it about making sure we get to heaven? Is is about feeling superior to those who don't go to church?
In the past fifty years, at least ten million people have been killed in wars, and the majority of them killed by Christians. Outside of international wars, the only thing that has saved the western, Christian world from beiing the leader of brutality was the rule of Mao Tse Tung.
