In 2010 we let go of the committees in our church with the exception of Ministry and Personnel, and Trustees, and opened up the opportunity for people to choose to offer their gifts in the areas in which they had particular interests. We called these “Interest Groups” (in imitation of the Kenora Model we had chosen to follow). Some of our committees (like Pastoral Care) became Interest Groups because those people had an interest in continuing to serve in that way. The UCW continues to be our largest, most hard working group. They just go from one project to another!
Our family list is divided into House Groups which are responsible for several tasks, such as reading scripture and greeting at worship on a monthly basis.

"Where strangers are just friends we haven't met."
Mission Statement: "Grenfell United Church is a welcoming, compassionate community, encouraging love and respect for all creation by living joyfully and thankfully as we journey together in our faith, experiencing and celebrating God's grace."
The population of Grenfell is approximately 1100 and is situated at the intersection of Highways #1 and #47. Grenfell offers a great number of services along with various sports clubs and cultural activities. It is a beautiful town, mainly due to the lilac hedges and the large trees up and down the streets. There are activities for all ages.
