Grosvenor Park United Church congregation understands itself to be called by God to follow Jesus, to be a vibrant congregation nurtured in the Spirit, and to serve our community and the world. It aims to provide an inclusive place of worship and nurtures individuals in a welcoming atmosphere. The congregation includes people of all ages, different cultures, abilities, and walks of life. Among others, University of Saskatchewan personnel and students participate in the services and other congregational activities. For over 25 years, the Special Class of cognitively challenged adults has met for their own Sunday School and has become an integral part of the congregation. Kids of Note, children who love to sing with half having special needs, gather to sing once a week and share their songs with the congregation in at least two services a year. The Affirming Ministry Committee is active in its support of people with different sexual orientations and all other marginalized people with the aim that they become full and equal partners in our congregation. The congregation is a member of Saskatoon Anti-Poverty Coalition and endeavours to become better aware of poverty issues while participating in ways to reduce poverty. Christian Education activities include a Youth Group with a youth minister, Nursery with a paid childcare specialist and Sunday School for children - all held the same time as Sunday worship. Other activities include regular adult study groups. Supported by a variety of musicians and the adult choir, worship is lively and reflective thought provoking and participatory. Preaching is biblically based with interpretation for the modern day. Fellowship times include coffee after church, special Sunday lunches, and an annual Irish Stew supper. The United Church Women meet monthly and sponsor The Goodie Shoppe which is a fall craft and bake sale. The Monday Morning Work Crew, a group of mainly men, does small building repairs and enjoys coffee together.

Grosvenor Park United Church is on the east side of the city of Saskatoon in a middle class, residential neighbourhood called 'Grosvenor Park'. The church building is close to the university, The Royal University Hospital and a major shopping area on Eighth Street. A highrise development on the block across from the church is home to many foreign students and their families. There are four parks in the area.
