Rev. Barbara Morrison

On October 25th, 2004, Barbara accepted a Presbytery appointment to Lowville and Nelson churches to help us through a transition period as both churches discerned whether God was calling us to unite into a 2-point charge. We warmly welcomed Barbara and her husband, Dale Dutton, into our joint family of faith, grateful for the gifts she offered. Since that time, Barbara has led our congregations in growth by helping to provide a warm welcoming place, where people can come for spiritual nurturing, and in Barbara's words" by sharing the love and joy we are so freely given through God's generous sharing with us." We have now completed our transition period and, on May 7th, 2006, the congregations of both Lowville and Nelson United Churches voted unanimously to unite our ministries into the 2-point charge of Lowville-Nelson United Ministries of The United Church of Canada. On September 4th, 2007, Barbara’s call to our churches became permanent.
