St. Columba can trace its roots to around 1899 - now that's way back there, isn't it? Throughout the history of Greenwood, Canada's smallest city by the way, the church has hung in there during the ups and downs. Many have been blessed and helped over the years, as this congregation of God's people has demonstrated faithfulness and resiliency. A vital part of Greenwood and the West Boundary. St. Columba joins together with St. John’s in Grand Forks, and Perley Memorial in Christina Lake. Our area includes Christina Lake to the east, Christian Valley to the north, and Bridesville to the west. Together we are the Boundary Pastoral Charge of the United Church of Canada.
You are welcome to join us for our regular Sunday service at 9:00 a.m. Sunday School classes are now running during the church service. The Rev. George Meier conducts Communion usually around the first Sunday of each month, with lay leaders leading services for the rest of the month. If you would like to come to a Communion service, contact the office for upcoming times & dates for the next service.
St. Columba is in the heart of Greenwood, located along Hwy. 3 and adjacent to the ballpark. A short walking distance to many local restaurants, stores, museum, and city park. Lots of parking is available.
