St. Stephen's-on-the-Hill is a small, family-oriented church, located in a park-like setting in south-central Mississauga. We have an active church school and youth group. We love music, with a large junior choir, a youth choir and chancel choir. We worship using a range of traditional and sometimes more contemporary sounds. We have a strong commitment to outreach projects, in our community and throughout the world. Our members include a range of theological views, and we engage in Bible studies, movies nights and other events to stimulate thoughts and community growth.

We also are home to Mississauga's only outdoor meditation labyrinth.

About the Service

Our Sunday morning service is held at 10:30 A.M. We have a number of special services throughout the year, especially during the Christmas and Easter seasons.

Finding the time for community worship can be a struggle in our over-scheduled lives.  Here at SSOTH we are fortunate to have a number of small groups and committees that meet outside of Sunday morning worship that give people an opportunity to express their faith in meaningful ways.  However, when it comes to nurturing our spiritual hunger, there is no substitute to being a part of a larger gathering for worship. In order to help meet this need, SSOTH will be offering six complementary Sunday evening worship services in the months ahead.  These services will be at 7pm on the first Sunday of November, December, February, March, April and May.

This Sunday evening worship service will be known as The Summit.  The Summit is a Biblical image that speaks to the Biblical images of holy mountains and sacred places.  We hope that many will come to The Summit and find it to be a sacred time and a holy place in their lives.  The service format will differ from regular Sunday morning worship.  Coffee will be served before worship and seating will be arranged a little differently.  The worship service itself will be rooted in Scripture, include use of video, time for dialogue, prayer and end with Communion. Children will be invited to remain in the Sanctuary throughout.

Our first gathering at The Summit on the hill will be November 7 at 7pm.
