Tofield United Church is located at 4832 53 Ave. on the corner of 53 Ave. and 49 St. Tofield U.C. is a small but healthy and dedicated congregation. It is an aging community but still maintains a small Sunday School and a youth group. Adult studies are often available during advent, while people keep busy throughout the year with committees, social work and fundraising. The current church building was built in 1953 but the congregation was in existence much earlier. The sanctuary is spacious with padded pews and has comfortable windowed quiet room at the back with couch, rocking chair and toys. The church is equipped with a sound system that has speakers in the sanctuary, quiet room and kitchen. For the convenience of those who have difficulty with stairs the church is equipped with a lift. The basement is used for Sunday School, coffee fellowship, meetings and community activities.

About the Service

Sunday services are held at 11:00am with Sunday School. Additional services are offered around Christmas and Easter. The Sacrament of Communion is served once a month, typically on the first Sunday.

About the Neighbourhood

Tofield is a growing community of about 1800 a mere 60kms east of Edmonton off HWY 14. There is much new development both industrial and residential. There is a great sense of town pride as they are 2006-2007 "Communities in Bloom" winners and planning activities for the town centennial in 2009.
