Trinity United Church, member congregation of the Aylwin Pastoral Charge along with Low United in Low, is a small but feisty English-speaking congregation that believes in witnessing to its faith in the Christ by engaging in creative worship (on Sunday mornings, and a Christmas Prayer and Healing service near the holidays); providing an active program for youth and children (one Friday night a month - we have a great time!); study opportunities (monthly Bible study; Lenten educational series); and creating community (through our ever-popular Harvest Supper, and our participation in the ACU (Anglians - Catholics - United) Christmas in the Gatineau Dinner/Dance. Our members are a diverse group of people, mostly age 50 and above at present, who come from a variety of denominational backgrounds and careers. We are an open, inviting lot who value the presence and gifts of each one who walks through our doors. Why not come check us out?!
Service times each Sunday alternate between 9:15 and 11, depending upon the week. Phone ahead to confirm the time, or pick up our schedule of services (or ask that it be emailed to you!).

Kazabazua is a beautiful community of folks whose families have lived, farmed and worked in the area for generations, and lots of newcomers and cottagers as well. The town is officially bilingual, and boasts the area's English language elementary school - Queen Elizabeth School. Kaz, as we affectionately call it, will be celebrating its 150th anniversary in 2012 - lots of great activities are being planned!
Trinity also serves the surrounding villages of Danford Lake and Aylwin, right on up to Maniwaki!
Read has been minister at Trinity United Church since July, 2003. It is his "settlement" charge - meaning his first posting as an ordained United Church of Canada minister. He loves the family feel of this congregation and the intelligence, and caring ways, of its members and friends. Read is originally from the States, educated at Yale (BA, Religious Studies), and Harvard (M.Div), and now a proud Canadian citizen. He has a manse in Kazabazua, and otherwise resides in Ottawa with his partner, Stephane Lemelin, and their two adorable pugs, Puccini and Bella.
