We're the Little Church on the Corner, and there is just enough room in the worship area to play a very crowded game of basketball. Big, we're not. There's way more room to share and learn and discuss issues about life and living faithfully. Since no one has quite figured that out, yet, the discussion is still under way. it's friendly, btw. We've had room for liturgical dancers in our worship, liturgical drama (21 original plays and not an ounce of sentimentality!), a full-sized canoe, and a blessing of the pets in which a ferret just about escaped. We're a welcoming place (an Affirming Congregation, in fact), but not accessible yet. We're working on that. You're probably wondering what'll happen if you open the door. You WON'T be swarmed and you WON'T be ignored. You WON'T be asked to stand up and out yourself as a newbie. You WILL be invited to stay for coffee and goodies once the amens are said, if you want. And one of our people makes a killer pulla (Finnish coffee bread), and another does these amazing gourmet deserts.
The service starts at 10:30 year round.
A shopping mall across one street and a school across the other. The 55+ seniors centre down the street. Lots of traffic, in other words. We're near a creek, too, but no one's ever been up the creek here since any of us can remember.
