History of our Church
Wexford Heights United Church came into being on October 1, 2002, as a result of an amalgamation between Wilmar Heights and Zion Wexford United Churches. Wilmar Heights had its start in the early 50's, responding to a need for a new United Church in a growing neightbourhood. Zion-Wexford began much earlier, in 1842, as a pioneer Primitive Methodist congregation. Both congregations grew and flourished in their times, having approximately 1500 children in total in their two Sunday schools in the early 60's. Zion saw the need for more worship space and their new sanctuary was dedicated in 1956, with a further addition in 1961. Wilmar saw the need for a Seniors Apartment Building, and that was built in 1993. We cheristh the histories of both of our former congregations, and the dedicated people who had the vision to bring those churches into being, and we look forward to our future together.
We worship at 10:30 am Sunday morning

Susan's energy, casual style and her compassionate, caring approach are evident during worship on Sundays and while meeting with her during the week. As a wife and mother, Susan has many opportunities to hone her sense of humour. She relates well to young people and their families. In her spare (!) time she teaches aerobics and yoga at the Scarborough YMCA and enjoys reading mystery and romance novels.
