Hello all,
I just came back from attending the Leadership Development Module (LDM) from the Centre for Christian Studies (CCS). I would highly recommend that anyone wishing to engage in personal and spiritual development, in an environment is deeply inclusive, give this program serious consideration. It's a 12 day program that I experienced as demanding and challenging, while at the same time, profoundly encouraging.
The LDM is the entry module into the diaconal ministry training program however, many participate in it who do not plan to enter the full program. I would encourage anyone, in any ministry (formally or informally), to think about this - it offers a wide range of perspectives that would be useful to anyone who works with people in nearly any capacity.
Here's what they say about themselves, directly from their website:
We are....
a dynamic theological school, educating women and men for ministries that will transform the church and world toward wholeness, justice and compassion.
CCS is a national theological school offering programs for...
I wish to offer my deep thanks for the work that they do...I hope some of you reading this will check it out.

i am aware of CCS, and have been impressed by the leadership.
I took a program at Five Oaks once, led as a CCS course...and build some strong relationships through it. The course was..around leadership as well. Many of the people taking it were ministers already. If I rmeember correctly, it had to do with small group leadership, and the primary model was that we formed a small group whilst learning about it. Having Yvonne Stewart as one of the leaders surely helped.
