But reading aloud has a special place for me. We started a book club at the senior's residence. We were supposed to use audio books but so far the library has not managed to get our choice. I missed the debut because I was sick but today I got to go and I am the reader.
Our choice of book was Walden by Henry David Thoreau. It was incredible reading those words aloud and I could hear my voice floating with the words. This phrase in particular resonated through the room "We must learn to reawaken and keep ourselves awake, not by mechanical aids, but by an infinite expectation of the dawn,".
Go ahead. Say it aloud. I'll bet it makes you feel alive!
