Are you going to watch it?.
Do you think McCain will use political dirtiness to bash Obama's person?
Will this round table be a better debate?
See you after the debate.

So what did you think. McCain's best night but I didn't like how angry he appeared. Obama looked and talked and acted the way I would like to see a president be.

i didn't watch it, but having seen a few quick videos from it, i gotta say i laughed out loud when obama was talking about taxes and said 'zero...' and mccain did this 'deer in the headlights' thing where he just blinked...
that was some classic stuff there!! i wonder if snl can parody that one!!!
from what i've seen, it sounds like obama won this one as well... although joe the plumber was a very close second.

I watched the whole debate

I watched the whole debate AND 90 minutes of commentary on both CNN and ABC...(I have a PVR) . Such a political junkie!
McCain started out quite strong - he had all his ducks in a row to attack Obama on the economy issues. Obama was totally on the defensive, although he maintained his cool. But then McCain totally fell apart and either:
Meanwhile, Obama just stuck to the issues and he had such a clear, easy-to-understand grasp of each one: health care, education, taxes, abortion, appointment of judges, etc.
Polls showed an overwhelming majority of people (80% or something like that) thought Obama won the debate.
He's also leading now in every "swing" state in the union...McCain would have to turn that around and win them all AND also win back some other states that have gone Democrat.
Just to increase the drama...I wonder if the polls really are correct, though and there are more "secret racists" than we know in the USA. To see Obama leading in the electoral college numbers so much now, and to have him lose, could result in a massive uprising in the black community. Hmmm.....it's like a 12-month-long hockey game in overtime for me....lol

Me too. I watched it on MSNBC, then again on CNN (CNN repeated the whole debate and their post-game show starting at 9pm) I like Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow on MSNBC better than anyone on CNN. McCain seemed like a bitter, angry old man. I'm praying Obama-Biden win.

Great article about Obama's icy cool demeanor and skill as a politician.

The Saturday Night Live parody of the debate was pretty funny and took the Joe the plumber thing to an absurd level.
Also if you haven't, check out last night episode of the Daily Show, They do a bang on riff of how the media spent about 12 hours building up Joe the Plumber as an american hero and now are completely focused on destroying his reputation. You can watch it at comedynetwork.ca
