MSN or other chatting

I'm sitting here at home...not really bored but would enjoy chatting...none of my friends are on msn...I only have a few! lol!
The rest of my peeps are watching UFC which I'm not really interested in doing...it would be nice if WC had a chat feature...so if say, at times like these, there could be someone to have an intelligent conversation with...don't cha think???

I agree Jens. If my computer is on and I'm at it my MSN is %99 of the time on as well. It'd be nice if there was a chat feature like facebook. Or at least an option to see who is signed in at the same time as you.

True...do you think people should post their MSN addy on a thread or sent to people through wondermail to those who you'd like to chat with?
I'd think sent through wondermail would be more private, but I'm comfortable adding mine to a thread...you can decide who to add then, right?

I agree to some extent Beshpin, however some of the heated discussions maybe need the time to process...kind of a think before you speak...chatting through some topics would be fun, I was thinking more of the social aspect though...realistically, once something is said, or I should say typed, you can't take it back on chat...but, it's a good point!

I think a chat line here would be a good idea, as long as there's an option to remain invisible. Some times ya just wanna read without being interrupted. Other times a real time communication would be great. Depends on what mood I'm in... and who else happens to be on at the same time...

I agree with the being able to hide RB. I wonder how easy it would be. I'm thinking something more similar to the facebook chat than MSN is what would work. It also has a "hide" function and otherwise just lists who's active as well has those who are signed in but haven't done anything in a while.
The only thing could be that it might take some of the people of the threads and into just personal conversations. As long as it doesn't take away from thread convos I think it would be fun.

It would be nice to have a chat feature on the site. Maybe only with friends and friends could see if other friends are online. When I first saw the friends feature I thought that they might be heading toward adding that feature.

This thread has finally inspired me to do something I've not done before-- to go thru my MSN IM list and purge the names of all those people I haven't talked to in years. The only names left are of those I know who have a computer and are acutally alive to use them. That didn't leave a lot of names on the list. Rather short, actually.
Anyone who feels so inclined is invited to wondermail me their contact information, and I'll be happy to attempt to add it to the list (MSN sometimes isn't very cooperative with me... or the computer doesn't like my aftershave... anyway wierd things happen, or don't happen, for unexplained reasons) Thanks. i2 teh = is the
pwnzorz = not too sure on this own... pwn is, I think, leet speak for "own" in the sense of totally humiliating someone in a video game. But what pwnzorz means, I still haven't figured that out.
I guess you have to be under 20 for it to make sense.
