I'm curious as to what you guys thought of the dance number choreographed by Tyce and danced by Mel and Ade this past week. (Here's a link):

I thought it was well danced, but just because it was about cancer the judges wouldn't critize any aspect about it. There were points where I didn't feel the emotion from the dancers (particularily Ade) and I did not understand the entire 'story'. Some movements just felt like that, movements, and I didn't understand what they were supposed to represent.
Overall, I did agree that it was a great preformance, but because of the emotional topic the judges didn't give a fair critique of the dancing.

I have two left feet.
I love the show.
Can't explain why.

I missed Wednesday but saw Thursday's elimination episode.
I don't like that Melissa and (particularly) Ade were saved by that routine. It was not Janette's time to go home.

I don't know the girl dancers

I don't know the girl dancers name (I follow the show, but not too closely) but she danced it beautifully. The way she made it look effortless and graceful, it impressed me.

I was sort of surprised that

I was sort of surprised that janette was sent home but all 4 girls were strong. Melissa i don't think has the right personality for the show and I figure she will go next.
I was surprised that Evan stayed and Jason left. Jason is a stronger dancer in all styles.
But realistically , it is only partly about skill and partly about charisma with the audience. Evan has his cute, awh shucks look, that has taken him far.

I haven't seen much of this

I haven't seen much of this season, but I am a big fan of the show. I watched that dance on YouTube and was... well... mildly impressed.
It was a good dance and very well done, no doubt about that. But I did feel that the "cancer" label added a whole other level to the dance that was a bit inappropriate, I felt. When it came to judging, most of the judges talked about the pain of cancer and losing someone to cancer -- but not so much on the performance in front of them. There were a few comments on the actual dance and it seemed that they all thought it was well done, but I felt that because it had the "cancer" label, no one wanted to properly critique it.

I rewatched that particular

I rewatched that particular routine during a rerun. I take back what I said about Ade lacking emotion. I can't tell - the cameras rarely got a shot of his face. Facial expression is of course not the only way to convey emotion but it does play a huge part. Certain movements just weren't there though, overall a good routine.
At this point in the show, I don't really mind who goes home for the guys, I think they are all awesome! Evan may not be as versatile as the other guys, but he brings something completely different to the show than in previous seasons. I also love watching his solos (I'm guessing his brother deserves at least some credit for those). I don't think Evan should win, but I don't want to see him leave either!
For the girls, I'd like to see Kayla go home, simply because she hasn't really stood out for me. Otherwise, I think I'd be pretty happy with any of the contestants winning at this point.
