Oh, my god, that is sooo long ago...Let me see if I can peel away the layers and peer back into the mists of time.........
It may well have been Bambi. I remember being scared when they kill Bambi's mother, and not sure about this whole movie idea, but the music really entered into my soul, and to this day the music really touches me.

My first movie was Disney's animated Robin Hood, with the little fox as Robin Hood and the bear playing little John. My bothers and cousins took me. My father's first movie was Fantasia. He took me when they rereleased it in theatres. My son's first movie was Shrek 2.

I can't remember the first

I can't remember the first movie I ever saw - although it was in black and white. I'm guessing, but it was probably a cowboy movie.
In those ancient times kids weren't especially catered for - even on Saturday afternoon matinees. There was a newsreel, cartoon, and two feature movies.I do remember that when the hero (on the white horse, wearing a white hat - we didn't know what being politically correct meant then!) was trying to outride the "baddies" we kids would stamp our feet on the wooden floorboards.
The movies were bad - but I'd love to experience that sheer excitement they generated again.

Same goes for me, but one of those three for sure. I remember singing a song from Cinderella when I was really small (I know you, I waltzed with you once upon a dream.....). Was Alice in Wonderland a movie back then, or am I confusing that with a book?

I feel like the first movie

I feel like the first movie that I saw in theatre was The Jungle Book, but that doesn't really make sense since it was released when my Mom was a kid... I wonder if it was a special re-release or something. Or it could be that my Mom told me it was the first movie she ever saw and I have adopted the memory as my own...

I'm pretty sure my first

I'm pretty sure my first theatre movie was Johnny Apple seed on a Saturday afternoon. However, I know that I saw drive-inn movies prior to that, but they would have been in black & white, in those days we use to cross the boarder to the drive-inn. I quess those would have been more for my parents than us kids, we probably even fell asleep in the back seat, cheap babysitting.

Greetings!
There are two movies which could be my first . . . as I was really little, I can't remember what one I saw first, and mom and dad aren't here to ask.
A group of persons in my father's recreational club at work rented a screen and video projecter (this was about 50 years ago), and showed Lady and the Tramp. The other one my mom and dad bundled us up in our jammies and borrowed my grandpa's car and took us to the drive-in and we watched some kind of a Dennis the Menace show.
We did have movie theaters and the first movies I remember watching there were Elvis Presley movies and Haley Mills movies.
Hope, peace, joy, love ...

My Mom and I went to see "Mary Poppins", and a year later, it was "Sound of Music". Somewhere in there we also went to see "swiss family robinson", i think.

Mine was Snow White in the theatre. I think I went with my mother and grandmother and they had to take me out of the theatre because I got so frightened by the wicked witch. I don't really remember the movie very well, but I remember walking home and that we brought popcorn home for my grandpa and little brother.

The Wizard of Oz. I had seen a few black and white movies before. Then I remember a series of Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis movies, also in color.

I'm not sure but I think it was a Disney film - I remember seeing Cinderella, Bambi and Snow White at the theatre years ago. I remember the Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis movies also - I used to go and see those. Also some featuring Esther Williams -
