Here we go folks, another riff brought on by spending time with my nephews while watching some E. O. Wilson ant lovin'. Something that has been gnawing to get out. It is ill-formed, more of a placeholder, but it will serve.
"God is Love"
Which apparently was originally meant "God is agape"
Not God is like agape or God is suffused with agape or God gives out agape but, simply, God is agape.
Hmm, so the Way to the Father is through Jesus means "If you want to know the inherent agape that is everything, that can be called God, follow me?"
So that G_d is not a personification. But more of a state of existence.
Reality is inherently agape.
The creation of the world was a moment of agape.
Everything is connected. Everything in universe is in agape.
If we take original sin as our falling out of unconscious nature and into our conscious 'predicament'...we forget that Reality/universe/God is agape...
And humans are always trying to make 'Buts' for themselves as to why they can't be living in Paradise right now.
So don't be a butt,
Inannawhimsey
Edit: so Jesus, G_d, the Holy Ghost aren't things to be thought aboot. Prayer is akin to meditation, putting yourself into a state where you are able to hook into this agape state. The Bible is a Tale of the Tribe, akin to a program, something that hooks into our psyche, which runs on myths and stories, which can be emulated/lived by the reader, telling the tales of how humanity fell from agape, then were lost and tried to find hints of it again, then found it again.

Hi Inanna:
Last Saturday I was at an all day workshop at the Vernon Westside Indian Band. The title of the workshop was "Living in Right Relations." The indigenous benison "All My Relations" was heard a few times.
"We (the indigenous people) had it right!" the workshop leader emphasized repeatedly. Damn right they had it right! All we need to do is apply their ancient benison in a post modern context.
All My Relations,

Hello inanna..God bless you
Yes God is agape...Awesome, Trustworthy ,oh so many things..
Living in Gods Glory is Agape...Love, Peace, Power, Mercy, Grace, Forgiveness...all of these things take the Love of God to accomplish in our lives...I too believe we are all connected..lets try to live without sunshine...or live without earth that produces the foods to sustain our flesh bodies...
Agape is the Wonderful Law of Love...

When I read "Vernon Westside Indian Band" my magpie thinking immediately thought of you hanging out with some swinging cats playing tunes with the likes of Long John Baldry.
Imagine if countries/Tribes settled their differences in a big Dance Off? Just imagine the riffs...oh, the Canadian polka!
Playing universe,

Why thank you :3
So, people could say, instead of G_d is agape, agape is agape.
Then, a big question would be: why worship agape?

Agape is love and agape is connection.
Today I stood up to a woman in our apartment building who is both controlling and a bully. I thought I would feel proud of myself for defending myself.
Reality proved otherwise, I feel unconnected, not triumphant.
Ego's are such a pest - it's times like this I can see the sense of Buddhism!

Hi P.P.:
"Ego loss! ego loss!" keeps echoing through our heads, but it's not always easy to heed the message, eh?

Hi Inanna: We worship Agape by practicing it.
Practice makes perfect.

Pilgrim's Progress,
I know what you mean. We might have had similar experiences.
Sometimes, I have been able to, after the '@!#$' emotions are over, to use...an analogy.
I think of me and that person, as we are. And then I think of me and that person, at the same time, as if we are both conscious contributors to our relationship, and what roles we both play. That way, I think I am able to distance myself from myself, and try to see things like what my history with this person is, what role I play in the relationship, how my feelings and thoughts cause what perceptions to arise...
Kind of like treating the whole thing as a play, or improv theatre, and trying to see the 'motivations' of each character and how each character can contribute to the character of each other.
A self-writing poem,
