I just listened to this speech by JK Rowling given to Harvard graduates in 2008 and posted by TED in January, 2010. My daughter found it somehow. Her message is as challenging as most any sermon I have heard, and her delivery offers insights into connecting with people today. Her message frames some questions important to our faith stances on a variety of issues. I hope any who choose to view it enjoy it at least 1/2 as much as I did.

Very articulate! Harvard is often very creative in their selection of commencement speakers. When I was a grad student there, I inadvertently walked outside the fence around Harvard Yard and noticed a podium a few yards away. At the podium Kermit the Frog was giving the undergraduate address, and I saw the late Jim Hensen working his puppet magic, crouched down behind the podium a fewr yards away. I later learned that his daughter was graduating that day. I will always treasure that surprise encounter with a magical speaker.
