Has anyone else heard about this one?
The guy is Ronald Weinland: "first and foremost the pastor of God's Church. He has been a minister in the Church of God for more than twenty-five years. Every Saturday he speaks to a church congregation, but generally in different locations across the United States…

His book blurb says:
"The year 2008 marked the last of God’s warnings to mankind and the beginning in a countdown of the final three and one-half years of man’s self-rule that will end by May 27, 2012.
"On December 14, 2008, the First Trumpet of the Seventh Seal of the Book of Revelation sounded, which announced the beginning collapse of the economy of the United States and great destruction that will follow. The next three trumpets will result in the total collapse of the United States, and once the Fifth Trumpet sounds the world will be thrust into WW III.
"The Seven Trumpets of the Seventh Seal, as well as the Seven Thunders of the Book of Revelation (which the apostle John saw but was restricted from recording) are revealed in this book.
"Many of the prophecies of the Seven Thunders are being fulfilled and will continue to increase in strength and frequency throughout this final three and one-half years of man's self-rule on earth.
"The prophecies revealed in this book explain the demise of the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Great Britain, and much of western Europe, which will be followed by man's final world war. This last war will be the result of clashing religions and the governments they sway. Billions will die! The destruction of this time will far exceed the very worst times of all human history.
"As these events unfold, the world will increasingly become aware of the authenticity of the words in this book and realize that Ronald Weinland has been sent by God as His end-time prophet.
"This book is primarily directed to the people of the three major religions of the world (Islam, Judaism and Christianity), whose roots are in the God of Abraham. Ronald Weinland has been sent to all three."

He has had some association with famous nutbar Herbert W. Armstrong (the late) and the "Worldwide Church of God" … but was "called" to prohpesy the end times.

I am automatically suspicious of any book of "prophecy" which trumpets the glories of the prophet ("As these events unfold, the world will increasingly become aware of the authenticity of the words in this book and realize that Ronald Weinland has been sent by God as His end-time prophet.") or uses secret revelations (the Thunders which John was restricted from recording). I wonder if he's started working on the second edition that will be released to foretell a new date when this one passes uneventfully.

Great. Another predicition. They're hard to keep up with. Thanks for letting us know, Mike (gee, thanks). I have to add though, that the more and more unstable the world seems (and it certainly is), the more these guys can exploit people's fears and make money off of it. I mean, if he really is a prophet, I'd liek to know why he needs to turn a buck off of it? Really. He won't need it anyway, will he? I wish noone would give them any media attention. It's bad " energy".

I'm so pleased that I'll still get to enjoy the special family weekend that is coming up. Not ony that but I'll be back at home in my own house before everything goes to h... in a wheelbarrow or something.

Weiland appears to be the founder of the "Church of God - Preparing for the Kingdom of God". He doesn't seem to be connected to the "major" Church of God denomination(s).

Many thanks to all of my clients.
You will note that Para 177c on your insurance contract points out that premiums are non-refundable if the end of the world failed to eventuate on 27 May as predicted — I, personally, was amazed — but think how happy you'd be if it had.
I regret that I am now no longer at the pre-Armageddon address you have for me.
I hope you'll renew our relationship when the End-of-the-World is next predicted. I'll be in touch then.

Perhaps we should not be laughing so hard. Perhaps May 27th was the start of the Zombie Apocalpse.. After recent news events in the US, the Center for Disease Control in Atlanta, put out a denial because of so many people asking about a Zombie apocalypse. Zombies and Zombie Apolopsyse were trending in the top 20 serach items on Google. Also we know when big US governemnt types are forced to put out a denial that something is happening, they are usually covering up the truth
So perhaps May 27th was just the begining of the end.
