unbelievers and confusion

There seems to eb much division and confusion among unbelievers in regards to the truths of Christianity and believing Christians.

after Christ was crucified was the Spirit given to all?

what teachings in the Gospels can we explore which speak to this?

how does being a believer relate to ones understanding of the Gospels?

how does being a unbeliever relate to ones understanding of the Gospels?

why do some unbelievers think they can consider believers they look into the Gospels in a more indepth manner?
is it they look at them in a worldy view?

37 On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. 38 Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.”[c] 39 By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified. (John 7:37-39)

15 “If you love me, keep my commands. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be[c] in you. 18 I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. (John 14:15-18)

Hi StephenBoothoot    your quote--    after Christ was crucified was the Spirit given to all?

If you are referring to the Holy Spirit my answer is no ---for we must accept Jesus as our Lord and Saviour before we can receive the Holy Spirit . So it becomes a personal choice to accept or reject the gift ..

We humans have a human spirit but not the Holy Spirit ---

Romans 8:8-9

New International Version (NIV)

8 Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God.

9 You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ.

Acts 2:38

New International Version (NIV)

38 Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Peace

In most the spirit of God was buried ... by Roman Decree ... no love not light of such situations was to be indicated by common folk ... and a lot of people caught up in this anarchy were completly buffaloed ... and old word for a primal OX as UR! Sort of an awkward metaphor that few will probe ... for understanding that is ... it's as deep as Jain ... my present train of thought on the history of fixation and unique steeers given by the institution of love (ID being contaminated by a lot of hate in an unknown form) ... that's this'elf ... an internalized reflection like di-Anna comes in de deuced form ...

I think unbelievers go to hell where they are forced for eternity to read the editorials of The Moncton Times and Transcript.

Believers do not include Baptists, fundamentalists of any sort, High Anglicans, Roman Catholics or people who come in late for the service.

well, what we can do fro others is a part of the message, its not the entirity of the message.

does he teach of things to be happy of and  things  look forward to?

can we not do both, know and appreciate such truths and also consider hwat we do for others?

graeme, what does  'loving  neighbour' mean to you?

It is one thing to appreciate an afterlife in whatever form it may come. It is quite another to make that the focus of your faith. Jesus' message was not to say follow me, and  you will get a big popsicle.

Loving your neighbour means, above all, to understand your neighbour - and to respond with concern for your neighbour. You also have to respond to the needs of others at the same time. So loving your neighbour doesn't necessarily mean being nice to somebody who wants to kill you - or to kill somebody else. It means to respond in a way that helps all as much as we are capable of helping them. It means responding without hatred. But that's not generally the way we do things.

Canada's new law of government decreed sentences is thoroughly unChristian. But it's designed to win the votes fo t hose Christians who think in terms of rewards and punishments as t he way to run the world.

graeme wrote:"

i think we are to have faith in salvation in Christ, i think that is part of the message, don t you?

25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; 26 and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”

27 “Yes, Lord,” she replied, “I believe that you are the Messiah, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.”(John 11:25-27)

no , its not 'big popsicle' , its 'life'

his message does say those who believe  him who sent Jesus and hear Jesus words will not be judged, but has passed from death  to life, and there is a judge for those who rejects Jesus and does not accept his words.

i see no shame in being faithful and hopeful in the words of Christ.

21 For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the Son gives life to whom he is pleased to give it. 22 Moreover, the Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son, 23 that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father, who sent him.

24 “Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life (John 5:21-24)

37 Even after Jesus had performed so many signs in their presence, they still would not believe in him. 38 This was to fulfill the word of Isaiah the prophet:

“Lord, who has believed our message
and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?”[h]

39 For this reason they could not believe, because, as Isaiah says elsewhere:

40 “He has blinded their eyes
   and hardened their hearts,
so they can neither see with their eyes,
   nor understand with their hearts,
   nor turn—and I would heal them.[i]

41 Isaiah said this because he saw Jesus’ glory and spoke about him.

42 Yet at the same time many even among the leaders believed in him. But because of the Pharisees they would not openly acknowledge their faith for fear they would be put out of the synagogue; 43 for they loved human praise more than praise from God.

44 Then Jesus cried out, “Whoever believes in me does not believe in me only, but in the one who sent me. 45 The one who looks at me is seeing the one who sent me. 46 I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness.

47 “If anyone hears my words but does not keep them, I do not judge that person. For I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world. 48 There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept my words; the very words I have spoken will condemn them at the last day. 49 For I did not speak on my own, but the Father who sent me commanded me to say all that I have spoken. 50 I know that his command leads to eternal life. So whatever I say is just what the Father has told me to say.”(John 12:37-50)

1 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God[a]; believe also in me. 2 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. 4 You know the way to the place where I am going.”(John 14:1-4)

 you dont make sense.

---------------------------------------------------

16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16)

28 Then they asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?”

29 Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”(John 6:28-29)

37 All those the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away. 38 For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me. 39 And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all those he has given me, but raise them up at the last day. 40 For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.”(John 6:37-40)

I neither believe in your Jesus/Holy Ghost/G_d nor do I not believe in your G_d/Holy Ghost/Jesus -- for me there is more to it than that.

I also have trained myself how to try on another's belief and see what happens.  So I can, say, try on unsafe's particular belief and see where it then goes...

But we are both human beings with at least some similar experiences and probably some things that we find meaningful and that we both are involved in the human experience and can share that.

I understand if you want a relatively 'private' place so that you can discuss your particular Deity with others that share your particular predilections -- might I suggest, if you don't want interruptions from the rest of us, engaging in Wondermail with multiple recipients?  That way you can control the 'quality' of your audience -- if you don't know how to include multiple recipients write me a wondermail and I'll let you know.

nothign cheap.

This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.(Matthew 26:28)

but it is easy.

27 “All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.
28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
(Matthew 11:27-30)

28 Then they asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?”

29 Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”
(John 6:28-29)

if you reject the teachings by way of the scriptures shared with you in this thread.

thats you.

why do you feel it necessary to strive to cheapen what is truth in what is taught by Christ and the Apostles and beheld by the faithful? does it help you deal with unfaithfulness and disbelief?

This would be like people that are blinded by Ξ motes …

And get scrooge dead in any alien situation …

Creating a Zombie-like affair …

Mindless alchemii, not knowing when to come out of the sun!

A mortal can only see this from …

Outside perspective if you believe in afar mode …

Of witness’đ by loss of thought (interpretation?) …

Drifting psyche of the dark vacant definition …

Dark Eire’d laid-Ξ that’Sah …

Fire different than Ur normal self …

Driving man ithchii st …

As haggai ism, scavenging worm …

With hu edged appetite for rhyming with des Çie!

Yes, that is the broken containment …

As cracked and jarred by emotions …

That can be, well-red on the surface …

A bloody dangerous time …

For close siblings, humorously related …

Contrary to Roman decrees on ignorance …

Where anybody can be screwed out of anything …

With a good lie!

Such is the basic need for rationale …

In the anarchy of emotional estate …

But poignant peoples will reject thought …

Creating need for dimension to put the despised …

As an opposing metaphysical place, high-art of imagination …

Confronting, or facing Levite bo’esh

Smart in swirl of plasma!

Awesome plasma, pomme mice hole …

After the period of PM ESS, ante …

That’s afflicted with dark modes …

Although the spell in could be different …

Like the hex in the Star of David …

The gravid following is an infinite gathering …

Of all-that you were made of; 6-pointy thing…

Virtually everything including the unconscious portions …

The dirt you didn’t wish to know as the humbling clef Taurus …

The B’uel without, perhaps Ba’aL …

As it falls to the stones, cracked …

As cleft on the stone, difficult to move …

With Ma’Son …

The stone cutting la’Sar, us!

Bearer of dull chi sal’ …

Dreary thorn in the side facing fore word …

As he worships the mindless ðate …

Mire chattel …

He believes from paying the price …

Of ownership of anything but …

The consequence of recitation errors, creating empty dimension …

That befall him as he believes the god’s responsible …

For all things except the satyr of frothy state …

Shadow of doubt cast about such central fires!

Then can a fire control itself in what Eire …

Or just burn everything in an unconscious state, where love grows blindly; tropics can sear!

you wrote:"
The biggest conspiracy Steven is ignorance ... worshipping the outcasting of devilish literacy ... such might improve the mind if you could see the story in depth!"

so you keep claiming about many of us.

yet , you come u empty, except all these 'obdservation' of others whom you seem to portray as shallow and within a darky mure and such.

repeating that nonsense doesnt make it so.

get over it and move forward, you may be amazed at how green the grass is and warm the sun is over here, one may have a hard time of knowing sitting in a basement coming up with conspiracy theories, get out and live my friend.

To move forward ...

Would that insinuate leaving old quotes behind EUE?

why do you feel it necessary to strive to cheapen what is truth in what is taught by Christ and the Apostles and beheld by the faithful?

If you let anyone's words here affect your faith in a negative way then that is your responsibility and then that isn't a strong enough faith.
