Okay, so I finally made the minimum goal for my cancer ride, thanks to some people here, the rainbow community, and total youtube and Facebook strangers. Wanted to extend my thanks.
This coming weekend, the 12th and 13th of June I'll be keeping a promise to my brother Jerry and riding 200 miles from Toronto to Niagara falls, the long, crazy route, for cancer research at the Princess Margaret. He was treated there. I beat cancer twice. He didn't make it.
Prayers for safety of all, wind at our backs, and a great time solicited. Every dollar donated means the difference for someone between life and death.
Thanks,
Chase

Way to go Chase! Well done ... you kept your faith and persevered when things looked bleak ... and here you are at your goal! Hooray for you! I hope the weather will be decent next weekend for your ride.

Yes - I want to know too ... I saw lots of riders speeding past my street on Saturday morning ... hope all went well & you missed the downpour of rain on Saturday afternoon!! I heard that there were 4800 riders in the Toronto to Niagara loop! That's an extraordinary amoung of money raised. Way to go all!
When do you ride Tabitha?

I got the confirmation email today. Chase made it to the finish, and on a mountain bike no less. No way do I try that distance on a mountain bike - a road bike is so much more efficient on asphalt.
Chase is probably sleeping right now, but way to go, Chase.

Woohoo! Way to go Chase!
I ride the last weekend of the month-start at Spruce Meadows (Calgary) and go through Nanton-I'm a bit vague about the course-and on a road bike-but being older and heavier than Chase-it's what I need! 200k in the mountians-and I've booked the next day off work!
