Welcome to the new WonderCafe! We've listened to your comments and requests and worked hard to create an improved experience for the WonderCafe community.
Your passwords, mail, and postings remain the same, but the site looks entirely different. There are also be several new features on the new WonderCafe.
The new WonderCafe feature great new tools including:
Enhanced Member Profiles
In addition to basic information about themselves and WonderMail, member’s profile pages now include a message board, and a friends list which will facilitate community building and collaboration. Users can also post videos and photos on their profile pages.
Video and Photo Sharing
The new and improved WonderCafe offers members the ability to share their favourite photos with others through photo galleries linked to their profile pages. Users can also share their favourite videos from YouTube or other video hosts.
Groups
Users on the new WonderCafe can create public or private groups where members can share messages and information. These groups can be regional gatherings, congregational groups or committees, groups created around a common interest, or any other topic.
Enhanced Church Microsites
Church microsites, which are available for every United Church congregation, will now include the ability to post videos, photos, and a message wall. Churches will also be able to create private or public groups on their microsites where members can share notes and information.
We are updating FAQ with detailed information on how to access this new features. They are pretty straight forward to use.
As with any endeavour of this kind, there are bound to be bugs that remain. Please let us know if you find something that isn't working the way it should and we will correct it.

I have figured out how to make paragraphs - click on Input Format and choose Full HTML.
Now I just need to figure out how to save that formatting so I don't have to do it each time - oh go ahead call me lazy....
Now where is that spell check.

Don't have time to figure out how to make my lines like Redhead queried in the quote line, and if I use the quote feature I can't use Full HTML for paragraphing. So many new things to learn, so little time.....

In the top menu bar, you can click on 'discussions', and it will show the posts you've made - both topic starters and responses.

I tried to change my picture too. Won't take anything I have since the parameters are so tight. I should have left the one I had alone because the system won't let me put it back.
Soon there'll be a bunch of faceless robots who used to be recognizable by avatar.

OK, I am forced to believe it hates me. I did get it to work, but as you can probably see, it is cut off. Less ugly than what happened to the last one.
Admin? Ideas? The image is 20 kb, dimensions 170x112, so according to what I can see, it should be fine. What's up?

Yes, I'm having trouble changing my profile pic as well, though I did yesterday.(CrazyHeart, your new icon is showing for me though.) It should be easy, but if anyone is able to figure it out please let me know and I'll post it in FAQ. It could be a bug, since it seems like it would be straightforward. Thanks.

For me, the site does not work on Explorer. Only Firefox and Google Chrome (which is a TOTALLY different look)

I kinda like seeing everyone avatars close up - Diana's in particular has whole new meaning for me!
I'm now on my work computer with a much better monitor, and i like the look better than I did this morning. I think my other monitor is several (ancient) years old and just not up to scratch. I miss the cafe chair & the soothing browns a wee bit though. And I still miss EZ Answer Squirrel. I think those sorts of videos were a great item for brand new visitors who don't have the depth of relationships or familiarity.
Well, I need to go see what's happened in politics today!! Later!

I believe this is the on-going caching problem we've been having. This 'hijacking' is a normal process when a website changes host and its routing signal is 'unattached' while between point A and point B. Automated systems look for such unattached web addresses and poaches on the space until they get kicked off by the rightful owner. Once all our routing signals are settled in their correct locations around the world, you should stop seeing the poacher page. We're also finding that different browsers have different results. (Though not all are working consistently all the time.) This issues should be settled soon.
