Well I'm here today, but I made a big decision to forgo internet for now.  I could feel my life ticking away while I was spending too many hours online.  With me there's no moderation, unfortunately.  I check email about twice a week at a friend's -- that's it.  Drastic measures were truly required.

Getting lots of reading done though.

Hi folks..I'm here.  I wish I was in Saskatoon with the youngest who scored tickets to Tom Petty...OR going to see JT with Sebb.  Ah well, guess I'll just sing skinna ma rinky dink a dink, skinna ma rinky doo...cuz that always make me laugh.  I wonder how a old a person gets before they grow up??   I know for a FACT that none of you knows that answer, so no pretending!

I am at my desk waiting for the dog to finish eating so I can take her for a walk. The fireflies are out early this year and she likes to chase them.

Earlier I was not here. I was out with the kids buying father's day presents. Later I will be somewhere else altogether.

I am here at my desk visiting WC instead of doing the work I am supposed to do. I am going to shut this down now and get to it. I also plan to go over to the SPCA to walk a dog or two this morning. It is a sunny lovely day here.

Alex, I lived in PEI in my teens and loved it. What beautiful photos! I saw someone with a sort of browny-pink T-shirt on yesterday that said something like "the colour of white" and then small letters underneath saying Prince Edward Island...loved it! During one of our winters there,  a wind came up, blowing the snow and top-soil together, which stained the white siding on our house. It still had a slight pink tinge when we moved out a couple of years later. I lived very near Malpeque Bay.

I'm sitting around on a sunny summer Sunday morning wondering what the day will hold.

I wish I was moving to Winnipeg. I LOVED living there.

I'm fully recovered, more or less, from 200 mile/2 day Toronto Ride to Conquer Cancer. I finished, but I was dead last. Sort of a minor celebrity at that. Pray for me, I have to raise ride sponsors. Again. And sponsors for a bike....but I'm totally doing it again. For my brother.

Doing it next year. Riding the Hamilton to Brantford section of Rail trail tomorrow, or at least to Jerseyville. Fractured my knuckle riding my mountain bike, aka, the ****ing tank, up hills for two days. It's getting better. Um...yesterday was my birthday. That's about it.

Woohoo!  Good to hear from you Chase!  You look GOOD on that bike!   I'm here today, keeping a little cool after sweating through some garden tasks this afternoon, then reading on the breezy porch for a while.  Now I better go watch the news to see if I catch Pilgrims Progress in the Pride parade crowd!! 

Couldn't you have picked a less efficient bike?  Maybe a penny farthing?  A suspension mountain bike pedals like warm cheese on pavement.  Tell me you weren't running off-raod tires as well.

If you had just asked, I would have loaned you a road bike.  Jesus H. Christ, dude - everybody else rode 200 miles.  You rode 250 miles in equivalent effort, at least.
