Not on the same scale as some places, but we had some record-breaking heat in July and a severe storm system rolled through a week ago with tornado reports just West of us. The lightning took out my office's Internet (it's a wireless connection hosted on a local radio tower that was struck). However, I know some people affected by the Goderich tornado, so I know it could be much worse.
in winnipeg, we had all the flooding in the spring, and then i didn't see a drop of rain for two months. we had a storm two weeks ago, and then nuthin'.
even the lilac bushes are starting to shrivel up and die. THAT is dry.
In June and July, we had record amounts of rainfall. Roads slid, and bridges fell out. There was a lot of flooding in this area. I've never seen so much rain!
