Early this morning, my partner's son and daughter in law experienced the joy of the season and received the best Christmas gift one could receive, a new life.

Born a month early, and a wee tiny one at 4lbs 12 oz, he will face the challenges of being a December baby and a crazy grandfather and Monty Python great uncle, who are more kid than he.  Fortunately he has two women in his corner, a gracious aunt and me, who will tell him he is as big as his dreams and his laughter.
