WonderCafe Security Warning in Chrome and Firefox

A few people have been getting notices that warn “Something’s not right here” when visiting select pages of WonderCafe.  Please note that we’ve done some checking and traced this to a minor issue with our text editor, used when commenting or making new posts.  There appears to be no real risk at this time, and we’re working to resolve the issue ASAP.  If you see this message, you can select the  “Proceed Anyway” link, and use the site as usual.

Making an event public on facebook

I am mainly posting this for fun, but it's a good reminder for those of you with teens to set and review online rules and for people of any age to maybe think twice before including any personal information if you're making a public facebook event.

Why I don't want to work for MI-5's royal security detail

This article from The Register is amusing. It describes how UK security folks have had to plan for what to do if Kate makes a run for it tomorrow.

Having to do this kind of detailed planning for highly improbable one-off events is why I don't work in security. Although, come to think of it, we do some of this in IT as well when we do disaster recovery planning.

Its okay To Touch My junk

Well,  the controversy continues to rage,

For me, it boils down to "Do you want to take every safety precaution when you fly?"

If these scanners and pat downs are not in place and there is a serious breach of security, these same people would be saying "Well, it was okay to touch my junk and why didn't they?"

What do you think?
