What time do you eat dinner (or supper if you prefer)? Do you have to eat at a very specific time or does it vary by hours?
I'm not trying to get into the word differences that people use, I'm referring to the last major meal people eat, but feel free to get into the dinner/supper/lunch/tea differences if you wish!
Not sure which area to post this in, as it is one of those topics that spans several areas (relationships, aging, it's philosophical enough to go in religion), but perhaps Social is the best...
The question has a theistic tone. I don't mean it to. I don't believe in the same kind of God that most people do. You know, the one that sits there in the great beyond and has a plan for your life... The eternal clockmaker or the eternal meddler depending on who you prefer. But even an atheist spiritualist like myself (atheist meaning I don't believe in a theos, or a classical God, not that I don't believe in a God beyond definition, a life force that we call God for lack of better words) sometimes wonders what to do.
As most of you know my mother is in the hospital in critical condition. She has been in critical condition for over four months. We nearly lost her a couple of times but thanks to modern technology the doctors have been able to "stabalize her in intensive care" whatever that means.
The hospital is 2.5 hours away so to drive down for the day it is 5 hours driving alone.
Modern life in society seems to be fairly "fast-paced" but is this feeling of "fast paced-ness" constructed by society?
Imagine you are in a noisy room. Have you ever considered that if every person in the room were to speak at a lower volume, everyone could still hear eachother just as well, and it would be more pleasant on the ears?
Hi Everyone! I am conducting a survey for my psychology class. The topic is very debatable in today’s world. I was wondering what the impact new technologies have on our society, and I was also wondering what other people think about the issue. Do you think that technology is changing society? If so, is it in a positive or negative way?
Greetings, Question: After many years of
purposly repressing memories of
life, and excellently trained to do so,
have i compromised my future. In
the sense that now that life is better,
i cant stop repressing all but the
most crucial of things :L Is there
treatment for this, home made or
professional?
Any tricks to eliminate this?
