Drifted away from the United Church as a teenager, and returned when I was in my late thirties. Since that time, I have belonged to three different UCC congregations in Scarborough (the east end of Toronto).
Theologically speaking, I consider myself to be a liberal (not a progressive) Christian. My position on the theological spectrum shifts a little from time to time, and I accept doubt as an essential part of faith. Right now, I am especially interested in the Jewishness of Jesus.
At church, I facilitate small group bible study, which has proven to be been tremendously rewarding.
My interests include swimming, walking, going to the cottage, and playing Scrabble. Knitting relaxes me, and I hope to do something more ambitious than a scarf in the near future :)
I also like crossword puzzles, and I have recently discovered sudoku. I am a folk music fan.
Professionally, I am an occupational therapist, practicing in the area of mental health.
