About Me:

I was born on November 21, 1963 in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada - a suburb of Toronto which is now a part of Toronto. I went to school at Fairmount Junior Public School (Kindergarten), Knob Hill Junior Public School (Kindergarten-Grade 6), John McCrae Senior Public School (Grade 7-8) and David & Mary Thomson Collegiate Institute (Grade 9-13)

I earned a BA in History from York University in 1987 and then a Master Of Divinity degree from Emmanuel College of Victoria University at the University of Toronto and Toronto School of Theology in 1994. I was ordained by the United Church of Canada in 1994. Since then, I've served a 3-point Charge in Central Newfoundland and a 2-point Charge in Northern Ontario, and I'm currently Lead Minister of Central United Church in Port Colborne, Ontario. In June of 2010 I'm starting a Doctor of Ministry in Preaching degree at the Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary (United Methodist) - a part of the Association of Chicago Theological Schools. God willing, I'll finish that in 2013.

Now - the important stuff!

I married Lynn on June 15, 1991. She's the love of my life and a true inspiration to me. She was born in East York on March 7, 1964. In 2005, we adopted our beautiful daughter Hannah. She was born in Yuanling, China on May 3, 2004, and we travelled to Changsha, China to become a family. It was the trip of a lifetime that I'll never forget! Being Lynn's husband and Hannah's father are the two greatest blessings in my life!

Interests:
