I'm a DIY Buddhist. I dig contemplatives of all stripes, but have a special fondness for zen. I believe simple is the way to go.
I also have a special fondness for my family. As someone who has never had a large circle of friends, and who comes from an exceptionally small family, my wife and daughter are truly the most important people in my life.
I'm a Mac-zealot, a loyal Mets fan, and like watching pub games and curling. I'm a voracious reader, and I like speculative fiction and fantasy best. My all-time favorite book is Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance.
My favorite movies are the Star Wars saga, the Harry Potter movies, and anything by Pixar (they just keep getting better and better).
